i.webthings site news 03-22-23

I’m still restoring some configurations lost due to the recent server failure. My hosting provider and I have been working hard over the last 4-5 days to get all my sites back online. Now that my sites are back, I’m working to restore everything else as it was before the fiasco.

When the mess started, I decided to serve this site from GitHub Pages’ default URL, which allowed me to stay in touch with y’all after the rest of my web went down. Please bear in mind that this URL has been temporary as I try to restore things back to where they are. Depending on what I’m able to restore, this may end up being the hub’s permanent URL.

All redirects pertaining to the iwebthings hub were among those affected. That means for now, if you’re linking to previous site versions' permalinks or following a redirected RSS feed, the needed redirects are among those missing at the moment.

As time allows, I hope to restore everything - in the meantime, thanks for your patience and for being here.

a brief fiasco update plus today’s links

My two daily sites, the linkport and dwt-pointers are still offline - I know the hosting provider is working on it - we've been communicating regularly and I’m optimistic the server team will get these remaining issues resolved. Otherwise, the other webthings are now available again aside from a few remaining minor issues. With that said, here’s today’s links. I love you...
